Charity Teddy Sky Dive

We’re no stranger to it raining cats and dogs outside the Angel Circus here in Liverpool, but this week we heard there would be a procession of a different kind of furry friend falling from a sunnier Devon sky!

That’s right, Bideford Children’s Centre in Devon was looking for bravery this week and not from your usual hero but from the cuddly toys of its Centre users! That’s right…in aid of Action for Children the Centre asked local Teddy bears to take to the skies in a sponsored Teddy sky dive.

Action for Children work directly with over 300,000 children, young people, parents and carers. They run 650 services across the UK, tackling issues such as child neglect and abuse

The brave bears plunged from heights of 72 feet, no less, with only a parachute to save their fall. Teddy medics from the local community were on-hand but we’re assured no Teddies were injured!

Angel were delighted to send along our Circus mascot, Angelos  (his ears possibly gave him an aerodynamic advantage but shhh don’t tell the others!).  After months of grueling training, an intensive diet regime and many a sleepless night, Angelos made his journey down South and jumped! (well sort of!).

The Angel team were delighted to help Bideford in raising money for Action for Children and what a fun way to do it! A special thanks to Chaz for egging the teddies on before their fall.

We congratulate all those who took part, human and stuffed!
