Job Description

This role is within our Data Team, which is critical in ensuring the success of our internal systems and external products. They get knee-deep in our SQL Server databases, create new objects and structures, maintain and enhance existing functionality, and troubleshoot issues. All this ensures our products meet our primary markets’ needs – schools, local authorities, and multi-academy trusts (MATs).

Data is essential to the education sector. Our team is crucial in providing insights, supporting decision-making, and helping customers understand their strengths and challenges, become more efficient, and deliver value.

We have a nationwide reach and impact on education, working with every local authority, a growing number of MATs, and 20,000 schools across England. As a result, our team handles vast amounts of data of varying types: from tens of millions of pupil assessment and census records to hundreds of thousands of lesson observations and performance management reviews, from data relating to vulnerable children to up-to-the-minute pupil attendance records. The sensitivity of this data means security is paramount.

This is a hybrid role which will require regular time working from our office in Liverpool.
